Bunny Love

Mixing & Matching: MacKenzie-Childs Goes with Everything!

You probably know that MacKenzie-Childs dinnerware patterns can be mixed and matched with ease, but actually one of the reasons I love the brand is because their patterns go so well with ALL my dishes. A perfect base for my dinnerware wardrobe!

I love dishes, so it is not hard to catch my attention with a pretty piece. When I saw  these floral bunny salad plates at Pottery Barn I knew they would go with pretty much all the MacKenzie-Childs in my kitchen cabinet. I purchased a set of four and couldn't wait to start playing with all the possibilities.

Most of my dinnerware collection is Parchment Check, so I started with the plate and charger under the bunny salad. The warm yellow and golden undertones match the bunny perfectly. Simple and springy

Since Morning Glory enamelware is at the top of my wish list, (and because I had a feeling it would make the prettiest of spring settings), I tried mixing it in with my Parchment Check, swapping out chargers and dinners until I found the perfect combination. This one is definitely my favorite:
Once I got started mixing and matching, I couldn't stop! I wanted to see what a bolder palette would look like, so I tried out the patterns my sister has. Like magic, they mixed wonderfully and changed the feel of the salad from soft and sweet to bold and happy!
The Flower Market really brought out the blues in the plates, and the Courtly Check kept everything grounded. Beautiful!
If you have MacKenzie-Childs enamelware at home, or have been thinking of adding it to your collection, I hope you will have as much fun as I do mixing and matching. I find my MacKenzie-Childs dishes never fail to bring a look together, so I don't have to be concerned about bringing in a new piece- I already know it will work! Start with a good base (at Dish Dish Goose we always suggest starting with chargers in Parchment Check orCourtly Check), and mix boldly!
Which combination is your favorite? Let me know if the comments!
